Ive had this occur several times over the past month or so when trying to record swimming. I'll set the exercise off on the watch and then start swimming. I'll check my watch after 10 laps or so (25m laps) and it will still be at 0m distance covered.
I have to then restart the watch completely and restart the exercise to get it to accurately record distance covered in the pool. Just restarting the exercise doesn't fix the issue, a whole watch reboot is necessary.
I'm not sure what causes this as it doesn't always do this, but it's getting quite annoying standing around the pool waiting for my watch to restart. It can be quite hard to get to the restart in the menu when you're covered in water too.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Cheers

Hi, @Astarin, welcome to the community, I swim daily and very occasionally have the issue you describe. I have not worked out what is causing it but it is an infrequent issue. Handing a wet device is frustrating as the touch screen is sometimes unresponsive, I usually complete my swim by counting lengths mentally (While data is nice the important thing is to complete your exercise). On leaving the pool I stop the exercise on the "Sense" and when I get home I log my swim manually in the Fitbit app on my phone. If there are any multiple "Swims" on the record (due to attempts to reset) I delete those that are surplus.
The effective way to reset everything is to "Shut down" your "Sense" and then restart it by holding the side sensors until the logo appears and the "Sense" vibrates.
I hope this is helpful but recognise it's not a "Solution".
Cheers
