Sense battery charge lasts only 4 days

My Sense battery appears to be draining quicker than the advertised 6 day battery life...I fully charged it at 21:09 last night, and now, 12 hours later, the charge has reduced to 86%, a reduction of 14% in only 12 hours...Rather than needing to be charged every 6 days, as advertised, I need to charge it after only 4 days...I have the brightness set to normal, rarely use GPS, and have other power saving features activated...My Versa 2 would easily last 5 days until I needed to charge it...Anyone else notice this problem?

Yes, mine is exactly the same. The only reason I can think of is the WiFi connection. I've got WiFi 6 which may be causing the battery to drain faster. Although, I'm not sure why it would stay connected to WiFi anyways. I've also got the automatic vs manual display, but the watch doesn't turn on that much so I wouldn't think that would drain the battery quicker either.

Watches always drain faster than advertised - that 6 day life is achieved with very controlled conditions. But 4 days is what I get on the Galaxy Watch I have so that is pretty good and twice as good (Actually 3 times as good in real conditions) as the Galaxy 3 and Apple Watch.

I hear you, but my Versa 2 charge was advertised to last up to 5 days, and it lasted 5+ days...I expected the Sense charge to also last 6+ days...I've upgraded my Fitbits to the newer model each availability since 2013 and this is the first time my battery life is a problem

I'd say see what happens. I know my current watch sometimes lasts 3.5 days and some times I toss it on a charger at the 4 day point while it still has a charge that could last into day 5 if I pushed it. These are two diff watches, of course (I have a Sense ordered so that is why I am here but it hasn't shown up yet) but it might have something to do with the vagaries of WiFi - like on my laptop, sometimes I unplug and it lasts for all day and then other times it craps out after 3 hours. Or even better.- I'm sure all of us that have Android phones have seen the bug in Android where we pick it up off the charger in the morning at 100% and then it's at 15% 20 minutes later. Weirdness.

I am hearing that the SPO2 clock face causes significant battery drain. I think I am noticing that the last couple of days.  I had the SPO2 on all day and noticed a  faster drain, bringing me down to 29% in just two days.

Before I had set SPO2 clock face only for overnight. And I also use the GPS during run with always on display for 1 hr/day and get 4 days battery life.

I am wondering if I set the display on dim, rather than normal brightness, how much more battery that would save?

I'll be testing that out next.

I'm already using dim brightness with the Spo2 clock face at night and I'm at 4 days. Only other thing I can think of is that I have seconds displayed on my clock face. I'm going to test turning seconds off and see if that gives me more battery life.

My wife and I both received our Sense watches Monday morning and fully charged them before noon.  For me, I am using the o2 sensor watch face, I use raise to wake feature with standard brightness, and I don’t receive a lot of push notifications(20 or less per day).  I’m at 3 full days of usage and currently have 41% battery left.

For my wife, she’s using a Fall themed watch face, was using always on feature, and she receives a ton of push notifications from her phone.  She was at 37% battery last night.  She has an Apple Watch that dies from fully charged in less than 10 hours, so she was paranoid and charged hers too early.

At this rate, I can see getting 5 full days out of mine.  However, once I drop below 20%, I’ll charge it.

I charged mine yesterday for the first time since getting the watch on Saturday (and I didn't charge to 100% then). I put it on the charger when it was at about 16% last night.

That's pretty much 5 full days. You're going to be hard-pressed to find any wearable that can go much longer than that. Like someone else mentioned, the 6 days is in very controlled conditions.

Yea, it's definitely unlikely to last 6 days unless we turn just about everything off. One thing that I'm really impressed with is the charge time. I can't believe how fast it chargers! Seems like a full charge in about an hour!

Which is sad since i do kinda like the SPO2 watchface. But the default Sense face is decent so I just set it to that in the morning.

4 days and maybe 3 sometimes when I exercise. 6 days ? No. But that's alright.

Yep, the SpO2 clock face does drain the battery.

Mine seems to be more like 2 days. I'll charge it in the morning during shower up to 100%, 24 hours later with minimal use inside about 50%. Another 24 hours will lead to 0%. I've done all the tips to increase the life of the battery, but not sure what else to do. Maybe I have a dud?

I got my sense on Monday, charged it to 89% and it’s now friday and it’s on 51%. Your choice of clock face will have a huge impact on battery life. I have a very simple stats face, black background with no animations. Quick view off. All notifications on.

Can I ask the name of the watch face you use? I’m trying to extend my battery life

What are you doing to make your watch last so long. Mine lasts maybe a day I have tried all different faces and I have brightness to dim. I have the quick look off, notifications on no alarms etc. When I sleep I try to remember to set to sleep mode. When I fully charge around 8pm ish when I wake up its already 80% then by 3-4pm it's down to 50% then when I get home its 30%. At that point I charge it full. Maybe something is wrong with mine? Any tips would be appreciated 🙃

Did you ever figure it out? Mine only last about 28 to 30 hours. Totally frustrating

SpO2 drained the battery on my Sense terribly. I was getting not even a full three days most of the time. I finally deleted the SpO2 app, turned off calls (I didn't use it anyway), only keep the notifications that I want on and am now getting seven days before I have to charge. When I first got the Sense, I had no issues going 4-5 days between charges but, as time went on, the time went down to less than three. I won't bother with the SpO2 until Fitbit can get it to a point where it doesn't eat up so much of the battery charge.
