My Fitbit sense has suddenly become very sluggish and the battery is draining rapidly. It normally only has to be charged every few days. Now I am having to charge it nightly and the battery is dead by the time I get off work. I have powered it off and back on, I have checked for needed updates, and I have made sure it is clean and charged properly. I am not sure of what else to do other than try to reset it. I have only had this since Christmas 2020. Help!?

It seems a recent firmware update has created an issue. One thing you can try while waiting for Fitbit to remove the error thats been introduced is to turn off the phone's Bluetooth and see if that makes a difference to the battery drain.

@Mistykayp As @Gr4ndp4 mentions there was a problem with older versions of the Fitbit App.
Can you please post which version you currently have installed. In the App click Profile photo and then Help & Support, its at the top.
It is suspected the latest version 3.44 has the same problem in some cases.

@Mistykayp Thanks, that at least confirms it's a Fitbit App problem.
Can you post which Fitbit App version you have, at the top of help & support, 3.44?
The only workaround is to turn off the Bluetooth on your phone and see if it's stop draining the battery.

What phone are you using?
If it’s an iPhone go to App Store and get
44.128.5.49
if unfamiliar with updating:
App Store>click on person icon (top right)>
swipe down. Should see it as an option to upgrade now.
see if that helps.
I’m running the below firmware, software, and iOS.

Hi @Clove6060 on your iPhone do you see the Fitbit App version at the top of help & support..
Fortunately @Mistykayp hasn't updated the firmware to the same version as you.
There were battery draining issues with older versions of the App.
Do you have that problem with 3.44 and the new firmware?

@Mistykayp Then you are on the latest version of the Fitbit App. Can you confirm this by clicking on the profile photo, then Help & support and at the top see what it says?
You can try reinstalling the App but that's never been a general cure for Android issues, the only thing is turning off the phone's Bluetooth till there is a fix for the fault in the Fitbit App. Of course you can turn on to sync but you won't get any notification while it's off.
If you want you can try
In Android phone Settings * Apps Fitbit Storage - clear cache [not data] Force Fitbit Stop [though it doesn't seem to fully] Log back in to the Fitbit app
*Quick Shortcut: Press and hold the Fitbit launch icon, then App info [on some phones] |
But that's unlikely to fix it.

I do see that.
I have had zero problems with this app version or firmware.
Quite frankly, I have not had any problems others are experiencing, except the exercise reboot others have reported.
