I need to charge every 2.5 days now.  My Sence has been active for 10 weeks

I'm confident that the snore detection being off will make a huge difference (it really is that big of a drain). Let us know how you get on, I'll be interested to hear your experience.

I have the same - mine is less than 10 weeks old and with all the benefits / reasons I bought it switched off to save the battery it still lasts less than 2 days & is effectively just an expensive watch! I expected with GPS off, original clock face, no apps loaded, no notifications etc that the battery would last 5-6 days as advertised but it doesn't! Seriously considering sending it back & going for a Garmin!

Hi

Have you checked to see if snore/noise detection is enabled? Open the Fitbit app on your phone - scroll down to and tap on the sleep tile - tap the gear icon in the top right corner - scroll down to snore & noise detect - make sure the toggle is set to off.

I found this to be a massive battery drain (it leaves the Mic open all night) and a pretty useless feature as I share a bed/room with someone else (it's impossible for it to distinguish between two people).

Here is a good write up on features that drain the battery excessively. It’ll help you determine which features are not desirable. By disabling them, your battery life will improve.

I just turned that off this morning so I will see if it helps (I didn't even know it was on and likewise, not much point unless you sleep on your own)

Thanks for this - I have looked at it. My gripe is that I bought the Sense so I could use many of these features and without any of them the battery still only lasts 2 days, so there is no chance I can use them & I might as well have bought a significantly cheaper version without any added features! I will see what difference the snore feature being off makes as it was the only one that was still on, maybe this will mean I can switch back on some of the other features...

Just for comparison. I have snore detection off, but I use the watch a lot during the day including text msgs/replies and SPO2 tracking and only take it off a few minutes daily. The battery is depleted 20% daily. I charge it on the 5th day so it doesn't go to 0 overnight. This seems reasonable to me.

@RoyVP With these settings I can get a whole 4 days off the charger. Brightness dim, screen wake motion and button, always on display off, snore & noise detection off, SpO2 on. Also, my Sense is one that was purchased in August 2020 and used every day for about a year and then I started using it in December 2021. So it's far from brand new.
Day 1
5:00 AM - 99%
9:45 AM - 93%
5:00 PM - 87%
9:45 PM - 84%
Day 2
5:00 AM - 77%
9:45 AM - 74%
5:00 PM - 68%
9:45 PM - 61%
Day 3
5:00 AM - 53%
9:45 AM - 49%
5:00 PM - 44%
9:45 PM - 41%
Day 4
5:00 AM - 30%
9:45 AM - 23%
5:00 PM - 17%
9:45 PM - 14%
Day 5
6:45 AM - 5%

That being said, I turned snore and noise detection on for the last week, and it for sure drops it to 2.5-3 days. I'll be turning it off again as it detected 0% snore the whole time. I had only turned it on because my wife said I had snored pretty hard one night. I'm pretty sure if I turned off Sp02 and snore and noise, I would hit the advertised 6 days. But I'll be keeping SpO2 on as it's factored into the Health Metrics and the battery is still very much respectable.

Hi everyone, it's good to see you here and welcome to our new members.

@RoyVP@Minitat and @DMel08 Thanks for the detailed information, and your efforts while trying the suggestions shared in this thread. While the Sense should last up to 6 days, as any other electronic device, the battery life will depend on how frequent you're using certain features. Aside of turning off Snore Detect, I'd recommend trying the tips described in this help article to maximize your battery life.

On the other hand, if the issue persists, please get in touch with our Support team so they can investigate your watch's behavior and provide you with further assistance. They're available via chat and phone, click here to get connected with them and make sure to let them know what steps you've tried.

@N8teGee Thanks for your great suggestions.

Since I do not want to turn off the snore feature I put it on the charger each morning after breakfast and take it off when I go for my afternoon hike.

@RoyVP Yeah when I did leave snore and noise on for a while, I would just top off while showering (you shouldn't be wearing it in the shower anyway) and I get a good amount in 30 minutes of getting ready.
