Hi, my Fitbit Ionic stopped working and I replaced it with a sense. The watch arrived today and looks nice, but the charging cord is just laughable. How are we expected to use something that is just 6 inches long? Most charging outlets in UK are at floor level so am unable to place on a small table as I did with my ionic. Even laying on the floor is impractical since you can’t lay
it flat and frankly it is dangerous as well as highly likely to get trodden on.
I Feel very disappointed as the device is not fit for purpose. I have scanned the forums and see hundreds of similar comments for the Inspire, but all Fitbit says is they have no plans to change it. Why?
Update - just spoken with Support.
No understanding that not everyone uses a pc (I just use an iPad) and that USB charging points in UK are generally at floor level so a longer lead is necessary to place it on a small table while charging. The lead for the Ionic is long enough to do this so don’t understand why newer models are so short. Product is completely useless for me and nothing in advertising to say it can only be charged by plugging into a PC!

6" long? Both my Sense and Versa 3 cords are about 18" long. I charge them at an outlet on the kitchen counter and they work fine. Don't you have kitchen counter outlets? Can you not plug them into a phone's wall charger and use an extension cord if necessary?

Hi, just measured it and its actually 7 inches long. I’m assuming you have bought a separate non-Fibit charger? No USB wall outlets in UK houses are not very common and usually are at floor level so to charge my phone I have to plug it into adapter which is plugged into a wall plug. I had no problems with the Ionic as the charging cable is much longer so you could rest the watch on a small table. The only solution is to buy a non Fitbit charging cable, but issue there is any subsequent problems with the watch and Fitbit will say I have invalidated my warranty

Totally agree: my Sense charger cord is also ridiculously short: 50 cm (20 inches) long. But if yours is just 6 inches long, who am I to complain...
