Sense charging cable pins are sunken in

My sense wasn’t charging after I did all the suggestions .... had to get a new charger .

works fine now but noticed that one of the pins on the older (4 months ) charger was not at the same height as the rest .... sunken in.

is Fitbit doing anything about this problem?
Was this the charging problem and will it keep happening? Very frustrated.

@Ftumch  - thanks for info, shame it went to the dump.

3rd party one still fine and used in preference as it seems more robust, original from Sept 2020 still ok too, but I have only done 157 charges in that time, so less takeoffs and landings!

Aliexpress - is way cheaper and just as good, if not better with great selection, if you don't mind waiting.

I totally agree, had mine for 11/2 years am in my fourth charger, last one worked a whole month, very frustrating since I now buy them by the 2 pack, yes they are rather inexpensive, not the point, may end up going with the Apple Watch which has all sorts of charging options, in the end I’ll have spent that  same amount of money . Thinking FITBIT could come up with another option!

Yes appears to be the same pin on all of mine, you’d think they could come up with a type of pad,I really count in my watch as I am a Nurse, but now not only have to worry about keeping it charged, making sure I have a back up charger!!! In the end thinking of going to an Apple Watch, how many more chargers will I need to purchase???

Hi @jbnurse - there are several aspects to successful charging with the fragile charge cable which may help you buy less cables, they depend on

  • how clean the holes on the back of the watch are and the charge contacts
  • how often you charge
  • how you attach the watch, never plug in the USB before attaching your watch
  • always unplug USB before removing your watch
  • how you go about attaching and removing the watch from the charge cable

Beyond annoying. I can't tell you how many Chargers I've had to buy to replace the sunken pins. Is extremely frustrating to spend that much money on an item to have to continuously by charges for it. Fitbit needs to do something and fix the problem. I may need to put my loyalties elsewhere

That's why I go to Amazon, I can get 5 replacements for the price of one Fitbit charger, and so far, no failures

I not only bought a set from Amazon, but got a replacement from FitBit and several months later, I'm back to having this problem. I'm really frustrated with it.
