My new Fitbit Sense, issued after the recall of the Ionic, developed a cracked screen originating from the top-right corner. This occurred shortly after a five-hour flight. Fitbit has declined to cover the damage under warranty and does not recommend any repair options. Since then, the crack has propagated into four spreading lines, eventually covering the entire screen.
I am extremely disappointed with Fitbit (now Google). This product suffers from a widely reported cracked-screen issue, yet the manufacturer appears to evade responsibility. Consumers who are affected by what seems to be a manufacturing defect are left without any reasonable or justified recourse.
