Sense didn’t record sleep, but it did measure heart rate all through the night

Sense hasn’t collected sleep data for the last two nights but it did collect heart rate data all through the night, so I know the watch isn’t fitted correctly.

my heart rate has been going down into the 50’s, could that be why

I frequently go into the high 40s so I doubt that is it.

Welcome to the Fitbit community.

I've haven't missed a sleep tracking entry since I started using this Sense since December 29, 2021. And I've messed with Snore and Noise detection on and off and SpO2 on and off.

@eezeepee

That heart rate variability is much higher than I have EVER SEEN. I’m usually under 20 and occasionally low to mid 20s. You got an answer for this?

@Clove6060 Well I've always been pretty active. I used to work out 5 days a week (down to 2-3), I've done a good amount of cycling, lots of P90X since the days it first came out, snowboarding every weekend during the winter, etc. So I think my heart has been conditioned over the last 15+ years to have a pretty high HRV.

Here's my last week.

@Tracy7873 We're talking about heart rate variability (HRV) which is measured in milliseconds and not resting heart rate (RHR) which is beats per minute.

@eezeepee @Clove6060 @Tracy7873 Nice to see you again here in the forums.

@eezeepee I appreciate your help and explanation. @Clove6060 Thanks for your input and screenshots.

@Caz1902 Welcome to the forums. I will gladly help you regarding sleep tracking with your Fitbit Sense. Thanks for the explanation. Please note that sleep is tracked with help of several factor. Hear rate measurement is one of them, of course. However, if the device detects continuous movement, it will stop tracking sleep. Please check if any steps were recorded during the night. If so, this could be the reason the sleep was not recorded.

@Tracy7873 I will gladly help you regarding SpO2 tracking. I recommend you take a look at the article right here:

Have a nice day!

Thank you for your help. I’ve got my head around that now. First time using a watch like this, bit confusing to start.

The same thing has been happening to me. I have been having to reset my phone to turn off and then back on so the sleep information gets put on to the watch that the phone has collected.
