I have only had my Fitbit sense since January and the sensor is not working. It doesn't detect heart rate anymore. I've contacted support and via text chat they recommend I do a Factory reset. Which to my better judgement I did it. And of. Course.... Did not fix the issues.... Please help. Do you think the watch is broken? They gave me a. Reference number. I need help.

It is most likely faulty and needs replacing under warranty, which can be done where you bought it or with Fitbit.
