My Fitbit Sense's heart rate monitor stopped working all of a sudden, and immediately my battery started draining much faster to the point that I have to charge it twice a day. I restarted the device several times, I reset it to factory settings twice, all for no good. After reaching out to Fitbit, they decided it is time to probably get a new device (and I fully agreed, this one is done), and I was offered a 35% discount. Now, my Sense is less than two years old, and I did not buy the extended warranty, since my previous Fitbit (Charge 2) lasted for about 4 years - which sounds about right. I should point out that a 30% discount is what you get at Amazon for a Fitbit Sense almost every day, so I feel that *Fitbit should do a lot better to accommodate customers* when their device fails for no good reason in such a short time. I understand a device will not last forever, but other companies (yes, competitors of Fitbit) did a lot better by me when their products failed, even when they were out of warranty. I should add that I take good care of my devices, they are worn, used, and cleaned properly.

Hi @big-fan - you are right and note the 35% discount is only available on the more expensive current watches too, which don't have all the features of the Sense. The seals on some watches aren't that robust and deteriorate over time and can let moisture in causing the symptoms you describe.

Thank you @Guy_ for the explanation, this is precisely what happened, water got inside when I was swimming. It is completely dead now.

The exact same thing happened to me and I completely agree. I only had mine for two years now. I believe a device like this should last a lot longer. I cannot afford buying a Fitbit every year or so.
