Hi, @OldKath, and welcome to the community, you do not give us much information (I assume everything else is working) so please forgive me for starting at the beginning. You may be interested in this article How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? and What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device? If you have a tattoo or scar on your wrist this will prevent the LED/sensor array from measuring your pulse.
