Hi @55Bar59. Welcome on board.
Thanks for letting me know about your Fitbit not recording your floors accurately. Your device has an altimeter which is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure to track your floors. However, your device may give you credit for extra floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, AC, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors.
If the previous condition don't apply to you, please make sure to have your Fitbit updated to the latest version. Also restart your Fitbit to correct any misbehavior, wear it snug on your wrist and monitor its behavior. If the issue persists, let me know since when this started to happen as well the model of your Fitbit device.
I'll be around, keep me posted.

Hi @55Bar59. It's good to see you again and I'm sorry for the delay.
You're welcome and thanks for getting back. I understand that this didn't happen before and to continue working on this together I'll need you to confirm if you've tried the steps suggested above? If you have and the issue persists, please provide me with the model of your Fitbit device to further investigate.
I look forward to your reply.

Hi my Fitbit does this often when the humidity is high very frustrating as the other day mine said 125 stairs when I hadn’t done any. It was an extremely hot & humid day. Also frustrated when it first started doing this as it gave me badges which I technically didn’t earn & you can’t delete the badges you didn’t earn either.

One question: how much walking did you do and was the terrain flat or uneven? You get stair credit for walking uphill.

This particular day I did hardly any walking & what walking I did do was in my house which is one flat level. When it had done it previously I was at work so reasonable amount of walking but that was also flat. For me it seems to count them when it is very humid weather.

This is happing to me regularly now. It’s saying I’ve climbed 71 flights but I’ve climbed one. It was pretty accurate for awhile but it’s been getting worse. I’ve kept my charge 3 dry.

I notice that the floor count on my Sense is very off. I had the Charge 2 before and it was accurate. Now, it will say I’ve walked at least 2 floors when I walk from my car into a
store (there weren’t visible slope). Also, it will register maybe 70% of the time when I walk up my stairs at home. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @MinkyDog.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about the floor count being off on your Fitbit Sense. Thank you for providing the additional details, I am glad to help. Your device uses both an accelerometer and altimeter to track floors, and registers a floor when detecting continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet. For more information about the accuracy of the Fitbit devices, please see here.
Upon checking with our Support team, I was told that you have already contacted them and that they were able to assist you. Thank you for your time and efforts.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

My Sense is tracking wrong information on the floors/staris. I got outof bet this morning, sync the watch with app and it showed 92 floors climbed.. This has been going on for days now...It is showing info that is untrue.
CS is really bad... So sad Fitbit seems to be loosing it...
Maks me doubt the other infos that are being tracked
