Did anyone else have success with this?
Tried it but doesn't work for me. Not really see much in the hole so cannot
tell if anything there.

Guess what  ? Today I have not left my apartment  and the day is not finished and the score is .... 88  floors !!!!! what a precision....

Can't wait to see other non improvements and latest firmware that I'm still waiting for about a week ? Maybe because I'm not leaving in the US...

I think I will write to the CEO, like I did for the Bose NC 700 about BT multiple connections failure.... Maybe I'll get an answer !

This Sense is a disaster and it is supposed to be a high end product ? with a 9€ fee/month, NO SUPPORT, and a buggy firmware release every 6 months ? Hello moderators where are you ? Can't wait to read your so "positive" useless answers and the post you will delete because they are factual but non compliant with your so positive useless policy ....

Have you eared about transparency ? Beta programs ? Full OTA Release ? Or Maybe What Bose did with its first generation of Sleep Buds with at the End a proposition of Refund because the product did NOT match the promise ? Maybe you should take example !

First, did you make sure your fitbit was in Zero-Gravity conditions and in a sealed atmospheric vacuum? Have you also checked the conditions of the Gulf Stream current in the Atlantic as well as the BBC's Shipping Forecast on shortwave radio?

I'm actually going to give this a go, thanks! I've recently cleaned the device with alcohol because it stopped charging for a few days. Cleaning alone didn't help. It was only when hooked it to a 65w charger, did it kick start again. This device is bringing me heartache.

When you wake up in the morning after a night's sleep with 100 floors climbed, I think there is a big problem !!!

It's shame on the part of fitbit, the latest Firmware does not fix the floor counting bug, they had said that this update would solve the problem so I trusted them and there I really start to lose patience !! We should get together and file a complaint with consumer services for defective equipment because our Sense and Versa 3 are still under warranty and not working properly.

With their new sleep monitoring updates, they should include sleepwalking lol

Good one

My fitbit was at zero charge for quite sometime (despite high watt charger) until the new cable I purchased from a big box store finally arrived.  No Slow charge and it was fully powered quickly.  Debating about mailing the original cable with the faulty pin back to Fitbit for disposal along with angry comments. Other option is to pop it open to why the pin won't extend.

Getting off topic:

Once fully charged things seem to go well.  Went down to the basement and back up and it recorded 2 flights.  That is acceptable and expected.

This morning rang up 7 sets getting out of bed.  Strange thing is that the count dropped down.to 2.  Been working outside in the back and rang up 14 additional stairs.  Not able to say if that is on or off or by how much because of the various slopes but its not something I find too far off.  If it showed 8 to 10 I wouldn't disagree.  The version is still at 4.17

The firmware update has done nothing for decreasing my magical stairs. Still as bad as ever. 😢

I tried cleaning the sensor, which didn't do anything either. As I regularly clean it with mild soap, I'm not too surprised.

Here's my new firmware day 1 flight/floor count update. Unbelievably the count was right on the money. My Sense recorded 7 flights today, which is right on the money. Prior to yesterday's update it has been giving me roughly 40 to 120 flights. No idea why it is now working for me and apparently no one else on here.

I bought a new Sense in mid April because my old Versa of 18 months was counting stairs at an insane number after I did an update.  Now in less than two months of owning my new Sense it is also recording stairs at at least 4 times the amount climbed.  I am very unhappy about this and would like to return it after owning at least 5 Fitbit’s.

I first noticed the same thing with my Charge 2. It would count steps and floors climbed when I would ride in a car. I came to the conclusion the bumps in the road registered as steps. I just got a Sense and it doesn't count steps or floors in the car but it does count floors even though I only have 4 stairs. I have come to the conclusion that floors are counted by your heart rate. I walked to our hospital thats a little more than a mile away today and it said 6,300 step but 17 floors. I hope this makes sense and helps you some. I'm no pro, and that's just my thoughts on why I have floors when I have no stairs.

Interesting but in my case this only started in March after a Fitbit update
and I have had Fitbit’s for 10 years… thank you for taking time to
respond. I also believe it is not acceptable for the device to offer data
that they cannot support accurately.

I have called several times. Cannot reach. My “Sense” sleep module is not keeping proper sleep time. Important for me. I am being recorded as taking many flights of stairs on many occasions when I have done “none” I have worn a Fitbit of some sort since 2012. Have they gone out of business? This is causing me great frustration. Any help? Anywhere?

I feel my sense always over counts floors but in the last month or so it has become ridiculous. I’m getting 70 floors a day in days where I haven’t been active at all. I already have 15 floors today and I’ve barely got out of my bedroom so far.

My floor count has been frustratingly out for a couple of months now, could kind of live with it.  But having had the battery issue, which has been resolved now, I’ll try now to get the floor count sorted.

these problems are so poor for an expensive watch.  I haven’t had my sense watch long, and haven’t had any problems with other fitbits previously owned.  Rushing to get the technology to compete with others I’m assuming.

let me know how to resolve the floor issue please

Well today the batter died, was fully charged yesterday.  I’ve own many Fitbit’s, this one isn’t fit.  So please do the right thing. And hurry up about it. Admit your mistake and fix this.

Fixed battery?

Best Answer

Have you fixed the battery??

I had this from someone else and it helped me fix the battery issue

Go to App Store. Click on your icon in top right. Then purchased. Then my purchases. Then type Fitbit in search box. Open it up so it takes the full screen.
when you go in this way it should say update. If not you must have the most recent version.

So precisely 4 months on, I still live in the same bungalow, still no stairs to climb and so far today fitbit tells me that I have done 84 floors

84 floors would burn a lot of calories so I'm assuming my calorie count is wildly inaccurate too ?

It's not just me either, I bought 2 sense 6 months ago at the cost of £700, one for my wife and one for myself, hers is just as inaccurate

We have been patiently waiting for a " fix" but none is forthcoming, the Sense isn't worth the money and I'm going to see how I can return both units for a refund or replacements that are actually working correctly

Yes crickets from Fitbit, must be the google way!

So can I assume that there is no fix for the floor issue… I’ve posted on many different forums now and none have been answered on how to resolve.

I think the Fitbit ‘customer service’ is shocking, I am beyond astounded that you can only connect via a forum that you don’t get the answers to.

To say I’m annoyed is an understatement will definitely not be recommending Fitbit products to anyone
