@NC_Tarheel, @primortal , thanks for confirming the version, there was talk about it improving with that version but as it is still an issue it seems like the issue has not been addressed yet. If you want to check your watch pressure sensor you can still try the SimpleFloors app to verify how it is working.

How do you remove the app if I no longer want it on my watch?

In the app on the iPhone tap on Sense > Gallery and scroll down to the app and tap. You should see an Uninstall after the app name. If it's not there than its an app Fitbit doesn't want, you to uninstall.

What's the point of the SimpleFloors app? I know I'm not doing 100+ floors (now 4 days in a row).

So, Im on my 4th Sense. This is the only one that worked close to how it should. The 1st 2 months I had no problems and was so surprised that i was getting text notifications because my other 3 did not send them to me. Then, the 3rd month, my stair count started going up again. This being my 4th Sense, I decided to try something different. So, me and a friend of mine who was having the same stair count issue decided NOT to let it get wet. That meant no more showering with it or getting in the pool even though they say its water proof and we CAN do it. In 5 days, my stair count went back to normal. My friend who also stopped getting hers wet, also noticed hers stopped counting stairs incorrectly on the 6th day. We think its not water proof or water resistant. I have one Sense (of the 3) that had the face come off after a shower and stopped working. I think water breaks the seal and it somehow messes with the stair count thing. Ive told a few people this theory on a facebook group Im in and they are only on day 2, but a few has said their counts are not as high now. Maybe try it out and if it works for you, we have a more solid reason WHY this keeps happening. Maybe the water was the cause of my first one over heating after the 1st month of having it. Or the 2nd one rebooting constantly and the 3rd one acting up too. Now, I cant wear it to water aerobics or showering, but, its counting everything accurately according to my Fitbit Charge 2.

Thank you @MinisOnTheEdge .
I always take mine off when in the shower or pool. My Sense is almost 5 months old and has been perfect until this Monday.
Very disappointed in the watch and lack of support for issues like this.

@MinisOnTheEdge, that’s not the case for me, I hardly get my Sense wet. I don’t trust electronic equipment and how water resistant they claim to be.

Me too!! Wtf??!! My new sense is doing that. Air conditioning and Weather changes affect this? Something needs to be fixed cuz my step count is crazy off. I live in MN and temperature changes every 15 mins. There was a hail storm today so that counted as steps?? Please fix!!

@NC_Tarheel - if SimpleFloors shows your floor count is more or less accurate then it is not a watch fault. Besides it enables you to see how your pressure sensor is working and responding to conditions.
I agree with you about water not being the cause of the problem as suggested by @MinisOnTheEdge, mine never got wet and only started misreading floors after a firmware update.
While the water issue is highly plausible it is probably not the reason.
@kitty2 - presumably you mean floors not steps?

Can you explain how to read the Simple Floor information?

@NyeeNyee - most apps have a description and/or associated documentation when you install them.

So has anyone contacted FitBit about a replacement watch?
------------
I've also read (possibly somewhere in this forum) that a full reset of the watch is recommended. Has anyone attempted this?

Not helpful. Sense has now developed even more idiosyncrasies.
It now shows that it is not connected with my phone; however, sometimes it
is, but most times it isn't. The need to track from day to day, week to
week manually is infuriating. (Yes, Fitbit people, I have tried every
single "help" suggestion to re-sync, all to no avail.)
Also, it has now developed a black/white screen that shows the time and a
number of lines where the data information should be. (This is in addition
to the regular color screen that shows the actual data.) Unfortunately, the
black/white screen stays on all the time, requiring that I recharge the
battery daily. Yet another major inconvenience.
Because I have passed the warranty period, I am unable to return the Sense.
My daughter is getting married in two weeks, so purchasing a new fitness
watch is, financially, out of the question. Therefore, my only recourse is
to go onto every Fitbit site and rate the Sense the lowest rating possible.
To the Fitbit "Help" staff, PLEASE do not offer suggestions. They are
always much too complicated for me to take the time to translate to
real-life language, much less take the time to do.
--------------
Yes. it may do nothing or, in my case, make things worse.

Hi @OlallaLady - try double tap the screen, swipe the face to the right and make sure all icons are off except bottom middle one.
If it still has a problem, swipe face to the left, click on Settings icin and at the bottom, Shutdown.
Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charge cable to restart and charge it. Or if charged press the side button.

@OlallaLady - if you did a factory reset you will need to set it up from scratch as a new watch.
In the Fitbit App, clock profile photo and "+ Set up a Device". Any other changes you made will have to be redone too

Same, and it throws off all of my data. Now my Sense has died. So bummed, Really invested in the app/dashboard and disappointed that a $250 device can’t last 12 months. Settling for an Apple Watch 😞

I did a factory reset on my Fitbit Sense today. I removed it from my Fitbit app and then followed these steps. After the reset I added it back to the app.
Since the reset at 11:00 am, I only have 2 floors...which is the correct amount. Hoping this fixes the issue.
