Sense is not tracking my heart rate accurately

Good morning,

I purchased a Sense back in July of this year and didn't really notice any issues with my heart rate, although I didn't check it often so I'm not 100% sure. Recently I started going to the gym and realised that my heart rate was in the 80s-90s even when I was doing cardio. I recently started a new medication that can increase heart rate, and had noticed that my resting heart rate was definitely increased, and that sometimes it would be in the 100s when just sitting or laying down. I want to bring this up to my doctor, but now I am not sure if this is even accurate. Is it possible for the sensors to break, and is there a way to fix it??

Hi there, @sushibutter. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Sense is not tracking your heart rate accurately. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As you mentioned, several factors can affect heart rate, including air temperature, stress level, alcohol or caffeine intake, immune response to illness, and medication use (source).

Spikes in your heart rate during sleep may be caused by sudden movements (for example, waking up and getting out of bed), or a weak signal due to wrist placement.

For any concerns about your heart-rate data, contact your physician.
