Sense keeps asking to download app after setup

My Versa2 stopped charging do I bought a Sense. I was happy with the Versa2, However, the Sense paired, synced, but the Sense keeps telling me to download the app. I have the app from Versa2. In the app I changed to the Sense. It states that it's synced with the Sense. Why is the Sense still asking me to download the app?

Remove the Versa 2 and Sense & Sense controls Bluetooth entries

Restart the watch by holding the button for 8-10 seconds, till the logo reappears

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

if the Versa 2 is still present remove it

Click on  + Set up a Device

Add your Sense [again]

Follow the installation instructions

Hi @thididididididi, welcome to the Community Forums. @Guy_, thanks for stopping by.

@thididididididi, thanks for every step tried prior to posting. Let me explain that the initial screen to download the Fitbit app usually appears when a device hasn't completed the setup process or a firmware is pending to update. With that in mind, please go to the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Sense screen and check if the firmware version is 44.128.4.17. If that's correct, please give a try to the suggestions shared by @Guy_ and once your watch is updated, you'll be able to see the clock face and access its settings.

Did this.  Removed charge 2 and Sense, restarted, did everything... but still getting "download fitbit app".  So frustrated.

Thank goodness I bought through Amazon, as after 8 hours of frustration, they will be back to pick this up soon.

@KateyLou  - did you remove Bluetooth entries for both Sense entries and charge 2?

Turn off Bluetooth on any devices except phone and Sense.

Charge 2 must be off.

Sense must be on charge near the WiFi source and phone.

Logout of the app and restart the phone and in the Fitbit App click profile photo, "+ Set up a Device"

Having the exact same issue.  I have had Sense for well over a year and everything has worked well.  After charging one night, now the clock face just states to download the app.  I can sync in the app without an issue, although the clock face is stuck on that message.  The app does state to update the tracker although that has failed every time (tried both wifi and bluetooth updates >10 times).  No idea what to do next.....

This is the same thing I've been dealing with for the past couple of days. I literally just figured it out and it's in the process of getting fixed. So I clicked on the + symbol in the app to add an new device. I selected my device and basically started the entire setup from scratch as if it were new.
