Now I have badges I didn't really earn. I got a badge for doing 45,000 steps in a day before I even got out of bed. I'm at the top of the leaderboard with my friends when I shouldn't be. This is not the first time this has happened. It's usually around 20,000 steps in 15 minutes while I'm sleeping. It seems to be getting worse. Please help.
Is there any way I can delete the steps and the badges I didn't actually earn?

Hello @Cougar713
I would first address why this is happening in the first place. Try restarting your Fitbit Sense and see if that helps address the odd step counts. Just press and hold the button until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen, and then release the button. You will not lose any data doing a restart.
As far as your outrageous steps there is a way to edit them so it will normalize those steps in question. Look here to see how you edit activities: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1306.htm. (Look for the section on how to delete steps) As far as the unearned badges and having them removed…there is no way you can move them personally. You can call Fitbit Customer Service and ask if they can remove them. I have heard of them removing weight badges before so I suppose they can with other badges as well. You would have to clarify that with them. Contact them here: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US
😃I hope restarting your Fitbit Sense helps fix the excessive step jumps and I hope the editing information I provided you also provided you with the best answer to get those steps back to normal. Please let me know if this does indeed help

Thank you for the help. I was able to override the steps by saying I was driving.
However, this morning I awoke to the same issue again. This time it says I did 8,289 steps between 1:45 and 2:00 am.
I don't know why fitbit even allows steps and sleep at the same time. It makes no sense.

🤔Well did you purchase the special sleep walking Fitbit Sense? They a bit more pricey! I’m just kidding. This is definitely not how that Fitbit should be functioning! I understand you’ve tried restarting your Fitbit several times and having to go in and change your steps constantly has to me frustrating for sure. Your tracker is only about a year old by the looks of your profile. I really hate trying to set it up as a new device since steps are the only issue. We can try that if you like or would you prefer to discuss your issue with Fitbit Customer Service since your most likely still under warranty?
If Set up as a new deviceis something you want to try then please follow these instructions very closely. Do not miss a step. Charge your Sense before proceeding.
First make sure you have the latest Fitbit App version on your phone then log out of the Fitbit App. Now force shut the app by swiping it upward if your using an iPhone or tap the three lines in the bottom left corner of your screen then tap close all if your on Android. Now go to the Bluetooth on your phone and remove Sense from your Bluetooth. If your on an iPhone tap the information icon (it will look like a small i inside a blue circle) then tap Forget Device. If your on an Android tap Sense then tap forget (or unpair)
Now restart your phone and then log back into your Fitbit App, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set Up A Device. Pick Sense in the list of trackers then simply follow the onscreen instructions. When your asked if you want to replace the Sense say yes.
😃 Let me know how it goes
