Sense miscounting floors

My Fitbit Sense is counting too many floors. This has been happening since I purchased it. Not weather related. Happens regardless of pressure or dampness. I’ve tried restarting as well. Nothing fixes it.

I have owned several Fitbit watches including the versa and versa 2. Never a problem with them.

help!

Hi, @Kbadeski, you do not mention the magnitude of error you are getting. As you know the notional "floor" is set at 10 feet, this equates to a reduction in air pressure of 0.35 millibar which is not much if you look at the detail of your local weather reports. To be frank, it's not a feature I pay much attention to, you may find this article interesting.

I appreciate that not everyone cares about that metric, but it’s important to me. It is adding 25-30 extra flights of stairs every day. It even adds floors while I’m sitting still.
