Sense no longer generates stress management score

I have used my Sense daily for over two years but over the last three days my stress management score is no longer displaying. I only take my watch off to shower and charge so I basically wear it 23.5 hours a day. My sleep habits haven’t changed either. I tried a hard reset on the device and checked for both sense and app updates but my devices are both updated and the hard reset did nothing.  It’s strange how much I’ve come to rely on that score but it really gives me some meaningful information. Please help if you have also had this issue.

Yep something is wrong.  Mine stopped recording about 5 days ago.  I have tried everything and now it won't let me agree to the user terms.  I hope they figure it out.

Mine stopped working last Tuesday (February 8th) the same as a lot of other people.  I'm in TX, not running a Beta version, already tried the tile removal and re-adding it.  There is no app for stress management like there is for spO2 (you would find it the same way you would changing watch faces) so no permissions to play with there either.  Last OTA update for Fitbit I received was 3 days ago on 2/11/22 for "Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements" (they never give release notes on security updates or patches which drives everyone NUTS) so the timing doesn't line up for the update and the stress management bug on the app.  There is no update for the Sense itself, not that it matters as the data is app specific as a calculation.

I pay for Premium so I'm PO'd about it as I fulfill all of the requirements.  My EDA score data is not showing under the reflections, but the time I took the EDA and the logged "reflection" (mood/emoji) does.  That makes it a definite bug with the stress management score itself as the EDA data I have shows up under the mindfulness tile and those sessions as well as my Wellness Report are just fine.  I logged out and in of the app again after checking on everything and agreed to the T&Cs once again so we'll see what happens tomorrow.

in order to agree to the terms you have to go into the terms and scroll through the whole thing first to prove you've read it.

My stress management also stopped working last Wednesday February 9, 2022.  Everything else is still working.  I shut everything down and restarted but it has not helped.  The timing appears to be the same for many people.

Yes it does.

I also noticed my Daily Readiness Score has been giving me only 99 or 100 since 2/8/22 as well, for data that it obviously should not.

Hi everyone, and for the ones that are new to the Fitbit Community, welcome!

Thanks for the detailed information and the screenshots provided. I'm sorry your stress management score isn't being recorded correctly and appreciate your efforts while working on this. As you may know, this score is generated based on your heart rate, sleep and activity level data. I understand you haven't changed your routine with your Sense, but if you haven't done so, make sure of the following requirements:

  • You're wearing your watch for at least 1 full day and night.
  • You've taken at least 500 steps during the day.
  • Your watch is tracking your heart rate and sleep stages.

If you've followed those requirements but the score is still not showing up, please provide me with the following information:

  • Is your Sense syncing correctly?
  • Is the Fitbit app updated?
  • May I know the model and OS version of your phone?
  • Also, for the ones that didn't mention, do you recall since when this started to happen?

For me it started on February 9th (last score). I have a Samsung note 10+ with Android 12, the fitbit app is up to date, version 3.54 Beta and everything else is working and syncing like normal.

I removed the tile and re added as was suggested and mine is working this morning 🙂

  • You're wearing your watch for at least 1 full day and night.  YES
  • You've taken at least 500 steps during the day.  YES
  • Your watch is tracking your heart rate and sleep stages.  YES

If you've followed those requirements but the score is still not showing up, please provide me with the following information:

  • Is your Sense syncing correctly?  YES (except High/Low Heart Rate App has been stuck on "Syncing Settings" for roughly 6mos or more and cannot be uninstalled and reinstalled even with settings correct; a weird likely unrelated bug)
  • Is the Fitbit app updated? YES (last update 3 days ago.  Checked for Sense update too and none available yet)
  • May I know the model and OS version of your phone? Pixel 4, Android 12, Security Update Feb. 5th 2022
  • Also, for the ones that didn't mention, do you recall since when this started to happen?  Last Score 2/8/22, No Score 2/9 /22 through now 2/14 (today) so far

I am following all the requirements you listed regarding wearing the watch for at least one full day, taking over 500 steps and tracking heart rate and sleep stages. My sense is updating correctly and my Fitbit app is updated. My phone is an iPhone XS and the OS is 15.3.1. My last score was Wednesday, February 9th same as most of the others. Ive removed the tile from my app and re-installed. I’ll know in the morning if this cleared up my issue as it has for some others posting in this forum. Praying so.
Thank you!

Mine started working today after removing the tile the day before yesterday (2 days ago). Not sure if that was what solved it. But happy it is back!

Tried removing the tile and adding it again. It worked this morning. 🙂

I’m from Belgium and i have the same issue. I’ve already tried a soft and a hard reset ( factory settings) without any results. The last registered stress score was Wednesday February 9th.

Is there already a solution for this problem?

You need to remove the tile in the app and then add it back and open it (see earlier posts on how to do it), then wait 1-2 days. This seems to solve the problem for many of us…

Thanks. I’ve tried that so we’ll see in a few days. Thanks for your reply.

I haven’t had a stress management score register in over a week. The tile is still there, but no score.

Hi everyone, it's good to see you again.

Thanks for getting back with the requested information, and trying the suggestions shared above. It's great that some of you received your stress management score today and just to confirm, is your score also displayed on previous days?

For the ones that haven't done so, let's give a try to the following:

  1. Make sure the Fitbit app is updated.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap Edit
  3. Tap the X icon on the Stress Management tile > Done to remove it from the dashboard.
  4. Then, tap Edit again, swipe down to find the tile and tap Add > Done.
  5. Pull down on the screen to force a manual sync and monitor your stats in the next days.

If by any chance the issue persists, don't hesitate to let me know so I can investigate on my end, and continue helping you with this matter.
