Fitbit tries to record steps which are not swim strokes.

Fitbit doesn't even have the option to display swim stroke count.

some Info I found that might help you some with this.

If you want to track a swim session, make sure you've calibrated the tracker to the length of the pool. You can do this by going into your Account > Activity & Wellness and going to Exercise. Then tap through to the swimming option to adjust the pool length.

On the Sense and Versa series smartwatches, you can do this before each swim on the watch itself by tapping the cog icon in the top left and adjusting the distance.

Make sure you do this to ensure the best accuracy in the pool.

I changed to the Sense fro ionic last week. My ionic correctly recorded my breast stroke. However, the sense records it as freestyle? My routine hasn’t changed…

LoL 😂 bc I exclusively swim front crawl (freestyle) except final lap where I breast stroke and Sense records all as breast stroke and did one random in the middle of the swim as freestyle. I'm more interested in time per lap than it getting the right stroke but it's slightly annoying.

Hiya, having real issues here too with the swimming tracker.

Yes, i have entered the pool lenght in my device (20m) yet my device is inaccurately calculating pool lengths. And considerably so. I swam 6 lengths and my device calculated 8........ Adding on a few lengths every 10 or so actual lengths.

I started to look into this. It might be because I change my stroke sometimes during my swim. But I can't find in my device with stroke is default, or which stroke it measures and when, or if I can even change it myself.

I find this function far too basic for such an expensive watch.

😕
