Sense not charging - but shows 0% battery when connecting charger

My Fitbit Sense I've had for several years has stopped charging but the display shows the red 0% battery when connecting a charger. I've tried several different charger cables and usb chargers and ports over several days. I've followed all the tips online (cleaning, etc), but nothing seems to work. Pressing and holding the haptic button on the side doesn't do anything. The issue isn't the charging cables, as the pins are fine, and the Sense sees the cords connecting to turn on the 0% battery display when connected. It can't be totally dead, since when it's connected to my Windows computer, it shows up as a Vulcan device. Would appreciate any other suggestion.

This happened to me as well suddenly, exactly as described.

I may try to reach out to support but right now the device is useless.
