Sense - notifications work one day but not the next

Hello.

I just received a Sense Fitbit. Set it up right away -- Everything seemed to be set up properly and working as it should. Notifications were being received on the watch as expected. But within a day, the notifications just stopped.

After reading through many related topics on this forum and trying multiple fixes, this worked the best. Problem fixed...I thought.

  1. Turn off the text notifications in the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the Sense from the list.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap Apps > Fitbit > Force stop.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Set up the notifications one more time and try checking your text notifications on the Sense.

Notifications were back and all looked good.....for one day. By the next morning, all notifications stopped again. The above technique has me up and running again, however, I fear that it will be short lived. Plus, I shouldn't have to go through the above daily. Any suggestions? Why are the notifications working one moment and not the next? No settings are being altered in between. Help! Thanks.

Have you rebooted the sense at all?

That’s the first thing I’d try. Maybe it will help

with the continuity of notifications

Also. what phone are you using?

I had the same problem and frustration until I realized I was inadvertently turning on the Do Not Disturb when I swiped around trying to learn how to use the device.  No problem since.

Did you check to make sure you don’t have Do Not Disturb turned on on the Sense? Swipe right from the clock face. It looks like a circle with a minus sign in the middle.

I did. So far, that hasn't been the issue. I will keep an eye on it though. Thank you for your help!

By an off chance is the focus mode on your iPhone

turned on?
Swipe down the top right corner of your phone.

you’ll see a moon within a circle. If that is on or

on a schedule to go on, it will stop the Fitbit sense from notifications going through.

I still get texts on my phone but not on Fitbit when it is enabled.

Also if your referring only to text notifications, you can’t have the sms open on the phone screen and receive a text on your Fitbit.  Swipe up the sms screen.

I guess Fitbit feels if you got the sms screen open then why would you need a notification? You’ll see the text pop up in front of you.
