I would like to ask for an advise people who have a Fitbit Sense: are all the new features worth it or is it better to go with a cheaper Versa 3 ?

The biggest advantage of the Sense over the Versa 3 is the ECG option. Your interest in that is probably the biggest factor for one over the other.

I have both a Versa 3 and a Sense. In my option, if you need/want a health tracker then you go for a Sense but if you just want an activity tracker then you go for the Versa 3. I have tried all the health tracking features on the Sense and they were interesting but, in my case, not that useful and I haven't used them since. For me, the Versa 3 would be the right choice given the price difference.

So the Sense and the Versa 3 are almost identical watches. There are 3 sensors that the Sense has and the Versa 3 does not, EDA scanner, ECG, and temp scan.
The EDA and ECG scans are both something that you stop and use on the watch (nothing that the watch is doing automatically).
The EDA scan is a wellness, mindfulness scan. I used it a few times, it is a fun little gimmick, but not very useful.
(My EDA scanner has also stopped working, and other then being annoyed because a part of my expensive watch stopped working less then 1 month after I bought it, I do not miss it).
The ECG is also something that you stop and tell the watch to do. It will then generate a rythm strip and then determine if you are in atrial fibrillation. It can also generate a report that you give a doctor. Both devices have HR sensors though and will tell you your heart rate while exercising. the ECG sensor and app is specifically for when you are NOT exercising.
The temp sensor runs in the back round and you get information on your body temp while you sleep. As I am not trying to track fertile windows and have a thermometer for if I am worried if I am sick, I find this information kind of useless.
So in hind site, I would have been just as happy with the Versa 3 (and $100 richer).
I hope you are happy with whatever watch you choose.

Thank you all for your answers.
I chose Versa 3.

I have a Sense and I like the extra sensors and hope they tweak their apps and data generated with them over time ( are you listening Fitbit) . That said more specific feedback (plans and dates to fix identified issues) from them would be nice. I could have very well gotten by with a Versa 3 and saved $100

As others have said, it depends on what you use it for. If you're looking for health tracking, the Sense is better. If you're just looking for fitness tracking, the Versa 3 is enough. I use it for health tracking and am not sure it's worth the extra $100, but am hoping future firmware updates will bring additional features. (And I like my new tech toys).
