Hi All,
I just want to try my luck to get support for all of you regarding my Fitbit Sense's Microphone. I am facing an issue with my mic unable to hear voices for on-wrist call and Google Assistant. Previously I was able to do it. I cannot be certain when my mic is not functioning.
I had done all of the settings, even factory reset but my mic is still not working.
Anyone has such symptoms and is able to get the mic's function back?
I didn't bring it to swimming, nor showering, so i am not sure how the mic is not working. I am using it with Samsung S21 Ultra
Fitbit Support Team is willing to put me for a replacement but I like to see if I can savage anything yet. I was using it for around 7 months when I noticed that mic is unable to function. I am on the 10th month of usage now. I am really shocked that SGD 400+ watch is easily susceptible to damage and not justified with the durability against the money spent. (I am suspecting that it is a hardware failure).
Thanks.

Hi @James.P - one thing you can try is careful cleaning. If the mic hole gets blocked it may cause an issue, however treat it with great care as it can easily be damaged.
What you could try is the SimpleFloors app to see if the pressure sensor is working, if it is not then it would be an indication that cleaning may be necessary. It is not definitive because only one hole [of the 2] may be blocked

Not sure what do this apps does. I mean how does steps can help with the microphone? In any case, I have downloaded and use it. the apps seem to be able to detect and change the pressure readings. What does this mean? Will you have any estimate guess? Thanks a lot.

@James.P - what it means is the pressure sensor is working so the hole is not obstructed, but the microphone may still be. Inspect carefully and if necessary clean.
Then use Alexa or Google Assistant to issue some commands to see if they are detected.
In the watch Settings, vibration and audio, microphone needs be on. It will probably complain if it's not.

Hi hi, thanks for the explanation. I had already checked and ensured the mic settings is enabled and had used the Google Assistant function.. So as to eliminate the chances of in case on wrist call does not work. So looks like this watch is very fragile
Problem is I am not even sure what affects the mic issue and if I get a new replacement watch, it's gotta be the same again (but I hope not the issue will resurface)

Hi hi.. it is also not working on Voice Command too. What I meant was that I had tried just to be doubly sure it was not just on-wrist call issue.
Very unfortunate though.

You hear their voice from the speaker on your watch.
To adjust the volume of the speaker, tap the speaker icon. minus icon or plus icon. Swipe right to return to the previous screen.
To mute yourself, tap the microphone icon. Tap the same icon to unmute yourself.
To switch to a keypad, tap the 3 dots icon. Keypad.
