Sense screen fizzled and went black

Two nights ago my FitBit Sense started to fizzle with digital screen squiggling, going sideways. The next morning, it came on & then completely went dead with a green line before going black. The alarm still works but no watch face. As with others, my warranty ran out in March - 4 months ago. The only support response I received was “we don’t repair the Sense” and “check for an email with a 35% discount”. Not good enough. Having to replace this after 16 months is wasteful not only of money but also environmentally, which goes against my life philosophy. Why else am I an outdoor exercise nut? FitBit needs to review their Mission Statement. Not going to purchase another FitBit because of this.
