Sense stuck on Fitbit logo

As with many stuck with logo on screen, holding reset button vibrates but loops back to logo screen and cannot get any further. Followed all guides but still nothing.

This is my third Fitbit and they've all ended up in the bin after 2 yrs or so...

Left the unit alone for a while to see if the battery would go flat, seemed to because the button was making it vibrate anymore. Put the Fitbit on charge from the laptop (this used to get the slowly charging warning when the unit was working) and it started flashing the 0% battery, a few minutes later the screen changed to the unit set-up screen. Removed the unit from the Fitbit app and under bluetooth, closed the app and reopened, the Sense was found again, went through a software update and back working.

Hope it helps someone because I had accepted that this unit was heading for the bin.
