Hi there, @Alexander21. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Sense.

Please note the message "Data not cleared, Sync & Try again" usually appears when you performed a factory reset without first unpairing your watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings.

With that being said, please confirm if you've followed the steps below to solve this issue:

  • Unpair your Sense from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Sense again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense.

If you can't get started with your Sense, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I'm trying to set up my partners old Fitbit for myself as he got himself a Versa 4. I'm getting the data not cleared error when trying to set up the device. I tried to sync it again on his Fitbit app however it's no longer listed as a device to sync. Help!

Hi @JennEhGirl  - firstly remove his old watch from the Bluetooth on both phones and if listed as a device on either phone remove it in the Fitbit App,. Click rubbish bin.

Turn off his phone and watch.

Logout of the Fitbit on your phone, swipe the active window off, in Android clear the stoarge cache and force stop it.

Restart his old watch and your phone and then start the setup again.

I have same issue with versa 2 (only 4/5 months old)  after having sync issues and Bluetooth not syncing with watch on a couple of phones! Now it has data not cleared. (it woudnt let me pair or connect) so done factory reset

Have gone into Bluetooth storage,on my phone, and it's greyed out, so it won't clear anything, aargh it's driving me round twist! Had numerous Fitbit over years and this is happening with every one I buy
