Giving my Sense watch to a relative. Removed it from my account and tried to reset it to "factory standards."

It didn't, its stuck and frozen on a screen that says "Data not cleared Synch and try again"

However, it doesnt let me go anywhere. I tried to add it back to my account and doesn't let me.

@MariogUSA You're very welcome! 🙂

Now, please go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and remove the Sense and do the same on your Fitbit account. Then, on your Fitbit device, open the Settings app >  About > Factory Reset

Once you make sure the Fitbit Sense is no longer paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings nor your Fitbit account, you can now set up your Sense 2 back to your Fitbit account.

Also, now you can set up the Sense to your brother's Fitbit account.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi there, @MariogUSA. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Sense.

Please note the message "Data not cleared, Sync & Try again" usually appears when you performed a factory reset without first unpairing your watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings.

With that being said, please confirm if you've followed the steps below to solve this issue:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up the Fitbit device to the relative's Fitbit account.
  • If there is no connection, restart the Fitbit device.

If you both continue having issues to pair the Fitbit device, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

It worked!I unpaired my Sense 2 and installed my Sense back into my account according to your instructions. Now it’s working.I would like to remove the ásense watch from my account, give it to my brother. he can set up his own account. Then, reinstall back my new Sense 2. I hope I don’t mess it up.Thank you again.
