Sense stuck on the Fitbit logo after latest update

Hi everyone,

I know it was discussed previously on another post about your Sense getting stuck in either a boot loop or getting stuck on the logo (which is what happened to mine). However, so many other users chimed in with different stories. I think it would be good to have a post strictly dedicated to the above issues and see how many have been affected. I haven't seen a single report where troubleshooting worked for these issues. So if your Sense stopped working after the latest update (around beginning of September), please comment. It would be great to have a rough estimate of how many others are experiencing the same issue as I don't believe it's just a coincidence.

I got an email from Fitbit giving me 35% off a new watch.  My Sense is only a year and a half old and this is clearly an issue they created with an update.  I am going to call and fight back.  This isn't right, too many people with the same issue all around the same time.

I have tried and tried. It’s amazing how many people are having this problem. So many of us have been so loyal to the brand from the beginning. Now I am left with a $300 bracelet advertising the Fitbit logo. But at least they sent me a coupon……🤷🏻‍:female_sign:

I um... complained publicly. On Facebook. Mine was replaced. I was just 1 month out of warranty though so not sure if that helped my case

My watch is 6 months out of warranty but it was working fine until the update.  My issue is they can update the app and crash the watches and it has to be on the consumer to pay to replace it.

No mines not under warranty any more but the point is this is a Fitbit issues because it is affecting so many other users with the same think they’re need to sort it. I for one won’t be buying another one after this, absolute joke, I have been with them since the beginning, thwy are going rompiste a lot of customers over this! They need to back date or do an update to correct the mess they’ve put us all in.

Honestly, it seems less likely that the FitBit phone application update is what bricked all of our watches. Mine was working fine for a few days after the app update.

What I think likely happened was some FitBit device/watch software/firmware update was pushed out, and once the watch restarted it could not fully startup again. Instead it keeps crashing at a certain part of the boot process a few seconds into the boot cycle. This is why none of us can get to the “hard reset” portion of the steps.

That is a plausible idea since these issues started before the new FitBit app update. However I have not seen a new Sense device update in the year I have had my sense.

There was an outage a few days ago and now my sense is looping non-stop. Tech Support was no help. My problem started when my device wouldn't connect to my phone. It subsequently reconnected but created a new problem.

I hold the left button for 8 seconds, released and then for 10 seconds and it started to work again.

My Sense is the same. It has been stuck on the Fitbit logo since 10/2. I called Fitbit support and of course my warrantee expired a few months ago. But, they are so nice to off 30% off a new device! (sarcasm) I want this update rolled back and want to keep my same device.

Mine is on a boot loop. It just started doing it this evening and won't do anything else.

My Sense is 18 months old. I contacted Fitbit and they said it was out of warranty but it was for my daughter's Fitbit. I told them they had the wrong product but they did not respond. I got a 35% of code but no extra bands. I also hate the new app look. I will get the Sense 2 only because it uses the same charger and bands. If this one dies prematurely I will get a Garmin.
