Sense watch is not saving the amount of water logged

Hey. I've had the fitbit sense for less then a week. So far it's awesome but one issue that's happened the past 3 days is when I log the amount of water on the watch everything works like normal but at some point thruought the day it stops logging and just shows 0. If I try to add more it will still show 0. One thing though is the app on my phone will display the correct number but the watch does not.every morning it works like normal but the issue just repeats as the day goes on. 

I'm using the pixel 4a 5G and the watch firmware is up to date. I've tried restarting the watch and my phone and that doesn't fix the issue.

Hello @Whofarted, welcome to the Community Forums! Thank you very much for the information and the troubleshooting steps you've followed prior to posting! 

 

Please try to remove the water tile on the Fitbit watch. For this, please do the following: 

 

- Go to the Today app on your Sense. 

- Scroll down and tap on Edit.

- Look for water and tap on it. (You will see it now will appear under Add to App) Tap on save. 

- Sync your Sense and then add the water tile following the steps above and test it.

Adding to this chain that it affects me too!  It’s much easier to log on the watch the water consumed but then it doesn’t maintain the log throughout the day and you’re back to 0!  Very frustrating.

Has this issue been resolved? I just purchased the sense and have used it for 2 days now and it will not log water on the watch.  It goes to 0. Thank you.

Unfortunately, it's still around, even with the newest Fitbit OS version 44.128.5.38. I guess Fitbit doesn't see this issue as something that needs fixing 😔

Well thats a bummer and kind of annoying. I feel like this watch makes you
use your phone way more. Instead of using the actual watch.

Has there been an update to resolve this issue.. I just upgraded from my charge 4 to the sense and had it for 3 days now... And I am experiencing the same issue...

Hi, I have had mine for 2 weeks and it only started happening after the latest update. Ive tried a few different reccomendations and nothing has worked.

I'm new to the smartwatch family, an early Christmas gift to myself...

I've only had mine about a week. It started out fine & just noticing this same issue within the last day. It's nice to be able to just look at the watch to see where you're at on your water intake & not have to go into the app. Hopefully it gets resolved. Everything else so far is great!

Also having this problem and very unhappy to see others have been having it for 6 months without a resolution. I can log water on the watch and it is reflected in the app on the phone, but the watch immediately goes back to showing 0. If I log water on the phone it stays on the phone but does not show up on the watch. VERY DISAPPOINTING.  I’ve tried removing and replacing the water tile, and restarting the watch.  No help. By the way, restarting the watch screws up so many other settings I’m loathe to try it again! I am now thinking I spent a lot of money for something that makes me take out my phone more instead of less.

Hi Wilson,

it’s now August 2022 and I just got the Sense less than a week ago. And it is also having the same problem. Furthermore, it zeros out when I log through the watch but will update on the app.

I’ve done so much trouble shooting via messaging and phone calls that I’m extremely frustrated. 
Please tell me there is something that can resolve the issue.
