Sense went to black screen today, it was at 45% battery. now it just vibrates every few seconds

My sense has died. This is a regular thing with my fitbits....I have not gotten it wet because I don't trust it (one died before after swimming.)

It was last at 45% and I noticed during the day it went blank. I tried holding in the button for long time and for shorter times. I charged it and tried holding the button. I had no response until I got home from dinner (left it home) and noticed it was vibrating repeatedly. It has been doing it for over half an hour now. I tried hooking up the charger again and pressing the "button", but it will not reset and the screen is still black. I am out of ideas to fix it.

It's not my birthday and it's not Christmas so it's hard to spend $200+ on myself for no reason. An updated one will probably come out in September which is only 3 months away. I don't want to spend $200 and then find the new version is better. Do I even want another one because they really aren't reliable and the Sense 2 has LESS features! Mine still looks new because I treat it nicely and don't even sleep in it.

Any suggestions to fix it???? Is there a little reset hole on it???

Hi @cinders9 - if you can't restart it you could try letting the battery run down completely.

Check in the meantime if it still syncs (it probably will) in which case when it won't it might have  run down.

Then charge it for 10 minutes and see if it restarts, automatically or manually.

Given that Google has constantly been removing features from Fitbit since it took over its not sure there will be any more smart Fitbit watches and which features will still be around in a few month's time anyway.

Last night is vibrated off an on for hours, 2 seconds off then 2 seconds vibrate. Screen stays black, no lights on back come on, it won't sync.

Left it off charger all night and it wasn't vibrating this morning. As soon as I put it in charger it started the vibrating on and off again, but didn't keep doing it, so maybe the battery is weak, but not dead.

I think it did something like this a few months ago except it was the lights that wouldn't stop and I may have had to let it die to get it back to normal, but it didn't have black screen then. I'm just not sure if I'm remembering that correctly.

Found an old charge 3 that powered up so I'll use that while I decide if I'm switching to Samsung or what.

Same happened to me just now. All was good, then it started vibration on and off, black screen and no synch or restart possible.

I read lots of comments here that it happens after updates and about a couple months out of warranty time. The Fitbit quality and service degration started once google took over. No more answers from support, devices break unfixable and the only answer people get is a discount for a new device. I am done with them. Yes it hurts to dump anfew hundred bucks, but this whole trouble is not worth any effort.

For the ones still hanging on: best of luck with your devices and I truly wish you they last longer.

BJ's has Galaxy watch 6 for $200 this week ($100 off) so I might give it a try. It seems to have more features, so if it performs reasonably I should like it. It does need to be charged a lot more, but apparently it can depend on how many features you use. I have a bunch of sense bands, but I can sell or donate them.
