why am i having to ponce about with re-pairing my fitbit every day...this is beyond a joke... i've already cancelled the subscription to premium, because i've had enough of the 'will it or won't it work today' drama... utter jjoke...and no tech support, i'm not going to unpair and re-pair all my other bluetooth stuff every day because fitbit can't get their act together... i literally have no issues with any other bluetooth devices, just fitbit...

Same here, I have no issues with any other Bluetooth device staying connected to my phone, or automatically re-pairing if the device & phone get disconnected due to distance. But when my Sense and phone get disconnected due to distance (which is every day at work for me) then it's a coin toss whether my Sense will automatically re-connect to my phone. For me, this has been happening long before the recent new Fitbit app update, so that was not the cause.

It's been 3 days since it last synced, and I've not been more than a few feet from my phone, although there was an android update that required a reboot...but then my other Bluetooth stuff works... I've given up on it. I've cancelled the premium service- once it runs down, I'll just look for a non Fitbit alternative.. they've lost me as a customer.

I noticed the same thing yesterday. Both watch & phone displayed that they were connected. I never moved either out of Bluetooth range. But every time I opened the Fitbit app it displayed "looking" when trying to sync my watch. Two different times I turned off Bluetooth > put my phone in airplane mode > cleared all recent apps > force stopped the Fitbit app > turn off airplane mode > turn on Bluetooth > and the watch & phone would reconnect and the Fitbit app displayed that my Sense was connected. All other Bluetooth devices worked fine yesterday, never had to do anything special to make them connect. It's frustrating when the only Bluetooth device that has issues staying in sync with the phone is my Fitbit watch. Oh, and my wife has the same issue wither her Versa 3, so it's not just a Sense problem.
I wish there was a way to know if issues like this have been elevated to the app development team. Are they aware of the ongoing Bluetooth issues with the Fitbit app?
