Sense won’t take calls/texts from my iPhone12

I cannot get my iPhone12 and Sense to pair for purposes of on wrist calls. The app syncs stats on my phone no problem, but I cannot get the controls to sync/pair for purposes of taking calls on the watch. And when I go to Manage Devices under Bluetooth on the watch, it searches and searches, but says it can’t find my iPhone. I have tried resetting everything a number of times, but no luck. I’ve been trying this for 2 weeks to no avail. I’m out of ideas.

Happening to me too. My Sense is connected to my iP12, ckd notification settings to allow messages and calls into the Sense but when tested, nothing comes through. I followed the instructions on Fitbit’s website ~ step by step.

Hello @SunnyFL92 and @Peechuz you do not search for the phone from the Sense.

In the Sense

  • Settings
  • Vibration & Audio
  • Turn off Controls
  • Turn on Controls - this puts Controls into its discovery mode.

On the phone

  • Go to the Bluetooth screen
  • The Sense Controls should be found.
  • Tap Sense Controls
  • Confirm the 4 digit code.

Thanks Rich, that doesn’t work. I tried this the very first time before trying to troubleshoot with the steps I described in my post. I never get a code. When I tap Sense Controls, it spins and says waiting to pair, then times out after about 2 mins, and says unable to pair and move my phone closer (but of course, it’s close).

This worked for me:

Paul: Please note, all steps must be completed in the specified order for the issue to be resolved.
Go to Bluetooth in iOS Settings.
Tap on your Fitbit device settings or "i"
Where you see Share System Notifications - this should be on. Turn it off for a full 10 seconds, then turn it back on again.
Paul: Next, you will go back to phone settings, then go to Notifications. From there you will:
Confirm that 'Show Previews' is set to 'Always'
Then, scroll down to Messages.
Confirm that 'Show Previews' is set to 'Always'
All three alerts enabled: Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners.
Confirm that 'Show Previews' is set to 'Always'
Make sure the Fitbit app and other apps have "notification grouping" turned "by app only".
Note: The last three steps need to be repeated for Phone, Calendar, and any other application you wish to enable app notifications for in the Fitbit app.
Paul: Also, swipe to right side on the Fitbit clockface > Find the quick settings menu > Turn off do not disturb mode and sleep mode.
Paul: Like a moon and minus icon.
Paul: Also, check Fitbit app > Profile picture icon top left > Sense picture > Notifications > Enable all settings please.

@SunnyFL92 on what device are you tapping Sense Controls? The Sense or phone? Have you removed the Sense Controls from your phones BT screen?

Best Answer

Sense Controls on Bluetooth and Sense Controls on my watch. I have not removed Sense Controls from my BT screen.
