I just finished with a 15 minute workout on my rowing machine. According to the HR data, my average HR was 84 and my max was 105. But when I finished, it was reading in the mid 80s, which, when measuring my own pulse, I counted 29 beats over a 10 second period. That's not even in the ballpark.
For reference, my resting HR is 55 and my waking HR when generally working or operating from day to day ranges between 70 and 85. There is absolutely no way I am average 84 BPM when I can barely breath from exertion.
After digging to find out what I was doing wrong, I saw HUNDREDS of thread complaining of the exact same thing, all with their own evidence, and with no user based solutions. I have see videos comparing the raw data that show the same results when compared with multiple other trackers.
I love fitibit for its streamlined focus on fitness and health, which allows it a greater battery life than other watches. But the dependency on an accurate real-time approximating HR is unavoidable, and if it can't do that, I will reluctantly cease to be a customer.

Hi @Wierdobill1 - as you have seen HR is a known issue when exercising or moving with this watch. Though when still it does better.
If battery life is important too consider other brands such as Garmin.
