Currently the settings for various metrics are spread across the watch itself, the fitbit mobile app and finally, the increasingly archaic fitbit website dashboard. Can you please standardize this and ensure all settings are available across all 3? or atleast on the watch and the mobile app?
For e.g. the stride length settings can be accessed only through a specific webpage, why is that so? why cant it be on the app or better still, on the watch itself? Today during my run, I realized that I had to change the stride length but I couldn't access the website settings from my Pixel phone chrome browser!
The website settings are also getting harder to access. Everything is getting more and more complicated when you should be aiming to KEEP IT SIMPLE! I PAID $300 for this watch!

@kow You can access the stride length settings in the mobile app by following this path: Tap on your profile picture > Activity & Wellness > Exercise > scroll down to stride length and set it there. Your stride length is one of your "Account" settings. I think it would be very cumbersome to set it on the device. If you switch or replace a device, you would need to change it on the new device. I set my stride length because I have long legs for my height. I have used several different models without needing to change it.
I know that Fitbit uses your sex and height for estimating your stride length. Your stride length for both walking and running changes depending on your pace, walking/running style and the terrain. It is an average. Most people don't need to customize their stride length if they have average proportions and a typical gait. Why do you think you needed to change your stride length after you started your run?
