Still grossly incorrect HR readings on Fitbit Sense.

I have been a Fitbit fan almost right from the get-go and have moved from device to device as new ones came out. When my beloved Fitbit Versa 2 broke  - I thought I'd treat myself to a Fitbit Sense. I use the device to keep track of my HR throughout the day and very it's important when I exercise. To measure calories burned, zone minutes and stay motivated.

So when you spend nearly €300 for a device that is top of their line, and you expect it to be as good as a lesser model, or actually better. This may be true when it comes to some functions, but NOT when it comes to HR - in particular during exercise.  My mistake was that I didn't check for reviews before buying the Sense. I just assumed that it would be as good as the other devices I have owned (and given away as presents because I thought that EVERYONE needs such a fabulous device).

The Fitbit Sense is absolutely USELESS when it comes to HR. When I am exercising and am so out of breath that I can barely speak, the Sense is showing an HR of e.g. 79. At that point - I know in reality that it should be at around 150 or higher. It skews everything in your data for that day. The same thing happens with my husband's Fitbit Sense -he is also an avid user of Fitbit and has been for years.

I have seen BS excuses from Fitbit stating that when you exercise vigorously your arms swing causing the device to not function properly. Ridiculous. I am doing the EXACT (elliptical trainer, weights, etc.) the same type of exercise as I did with all other Fitbits, with no issues. Are we now saying that Sense cant handle that? What's worse is that it's been happening for years and people are complaining - but nothing happens. I was looking at Sense 2- hoping that would be any better - but reviews are still showing the same issue. And no Fitbit - it doesn't help to reset your watch. Been there done that.

I really didn't want to move away from Fitbit as all my health data is in there going back years, the community, the programs, needless to say, I have Fitbit Prime... but Im sorry - I have had it. My Fitbit Sense is going in the bin today and I am going to have to move over to something more reliable. I may go back to Garmin or look at Oura,

Fitbit/Google: I am very disappointed.  Are you planning to ever do something about this?

Yesterday I sat on my exercise bike and started pedaling. It said my HR was 146. Not even breathing hard. Later in the workout, I was sucking air pretty hard. HR said 126. Now my battery is draining 5% an hour with no changes to anything. The Sense is very disappointing and I will definitely NOT be getting a Sense 2.
