Strava App showing incorrect date and times on Sense

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The Strava App on the Fitbit Sense is showing incorrect date and times for activities uploaded.

For example I did a run this morning (3rd October) and the Strava App on the watch shows the date as October 17. Both Strava and Fitbit mobile apps show correct date and time

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi @dk1909. It's good to see a new face around.

Thanks for letting me know that the Strava app shows the incorrect date and times. This odd and because everything else shows the correct information, may I know if you've verified the permissions and settings of Strava in the Fitbit app? You can do this by opening the Fitbit app, tapping your profile picture > Sense > Apps > Strava.

Additionally, I'd recommend to give a try to the following:

  1. Check if the Fitbit app is updated and reboot your phone.
  2. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > App Settings > Time Zone.
  3. Turn off the Set Automatically option.
  4. Tap Time Zone and select the correct time zone.
  5. Sync your Sense to apply the changes.

Hi LizzyFitbit,

I've tried your suggestions but the problem still remains. I've also noted
that the dates of the strava activity change daily - an activity that was
showing 17th October on Saturday is showing 19th October today.

Also, Moving time is not being displayed in the app

Hi there. This is also happening to me - and exactly like @@dk1909 the date of the activity changes whenever I go in to the on-Sense Strava app (it's even flagged my most recent run as taking place in the future!).

So not an isolated incident. Maybe Strava Devs need to do some work to iron out Fitbit

OS5 bugs?

Hi @Raz124. It's nice to see you here in the forums.

Thanks for explaining that you're having the issue with the Strava app on your Sense. Because your post didn't mention, have you made sure to turn on all the permissions and settings of the Strava app in the Fitbit app? Is the Fitbit app also updated? Let me recommend to uninstall the Strava app, restart your watch and reinstall the Strava app to see how it goes.

Hi @LizzyFitbit . Yes, all permissions and settings were/are turned on. And yes, the fitbit app is (as always) fully updated. I tried, as you recommended, uninstalling the Strava app, restarting the watch and reinstalling the Strava app, and guess what... the problem persists.

As I mentioned before, it may be that some dev work is required on the app - it was last updated on 08 September 2020 i.e. before the Sense was released, and the release notes still refer to "new for the Ionic,,,".

Mine is doing this too. Tonight’s run isn’t happening until next month and Wednesdays run isn’t going to happen for 2 months 🤷🏻‍:female_sign:

Hi, I was about to raise this issue in the Versa 3 forum but found this post here by just browsing.  I also have this issue so have tried all the thing to try to correct from here.  My activities are all there, and in the right order, but the dates are all so very wrong.  An activity I did earlier this evening is being reported as done on the 8th July and one from 2 days ago as 1st March.  The activity done the day before that as 27th December.  Not sure I've had one report from the future yet...

Thanks for letting me know that the same issue is being experienced with your Versa 3, and for the steps tried on your own. This shouldn't be happening as your data should be displayed with the correct dates. I've got in touch with our Support team and they'll create a case on your behalf to provide you with further assistance. Please note that due to recent events affecting our operations there might be a delay in their reply, but they'll get in touch with you soon.

Fitbit support have responded to me. They have asked me to reach out to Strava support directly, which I have done. Will report back when I hear back from Strava.
