I have had my sense for 3-4 months. It has always gone at least 4 days on a charge. Today it has only lasted 4-5 hours. I had to charge it mid-day' It is now down to 19%. I have not changed any settings that I know of on the sense. Any suggestions to what I could check?

Fitbit have released new versions of the App which generally has adverse consequences such as you are experiencing.
Android is on 3.41.2, unannounced - caused problems with syncing and battery usage for me.
IOS is on 3.41.1, as of April 28th
That said try shutdown and restart of the watch and a restart of the phone.
