The battery on my Sense is draining quickly after the Fitbit app update

My Sense used to last around 10 days, I've had it for a couple of years and loved its features. I have noticed since the new app was rolled out, it lasts less than 5 days, with most battery dying at night (more than 20% in 7-ish hours of sleep). I have checked every single setting, I noticed the snoring and noise was somehow enabled (not by me, I disabled that a long time ago), I have disabled it but the same thing is still happening, more than 20% of battery draining overnight (where before it was between 4% and 5%. Anyone else with the same experience? Any ideas?

P.S. My kid has a Versa 2 and the exact same thing is happening to him, maybe even worse (i.e. he went to bed with 46% and woke up to a dead watch) - I am pretty sure the app has some settings that are killing the batter life but I am not sure where to check.

Thank you!

Hi @Bujica - the new V4 Fitbit App has numerous faults, especially with syncing.

Try the following experiment :

logout of the Fitbit app and swipe off the active face on your phone and turn off the phone's Bluetooth, then hold the watch button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.

In this disassociated state the battery should last as before, if it doesn't there may be a fault with the watches.

Hey, that's a great idea to troubleshoot where the issue lies - thank you very much, really appreciated!!! I'll update on findings!

Both me and my kid realized after the little experiment that it was the app, not the watch (the watch battery would last as it used to, when separated from the app). However, hard reset on both out watches seems to have fixed the issue of the app draining it too much, now it's back to using around 7-8% overnight, which is almost in line with what we had before. Thank you very much for your insight, you're a lifesaver!
