If you aren't charging your watch every day but more like every 4 or more days, it is a good idea to occasionally do a Shutdown from the watch Settings menu before charging. It is a good way to remember to Shut it down if you combine it at charge time.
This refreshes the working of the watch by eliminating any accumulated problems and the watch will automatically restart during the charge process. If it doesn't restart after a minute, push the button till it vibrates and the Fitbit logo appears.
It is also a good moment to do a sync with the Fitbit App once the watch has started again, or once it's fully charged, as this has the watch working at it's best.
If the sync doesn't work it may be a good idea to restart the phone too at this point and try again.

When you shut down the watch, can you see the charging progress while charging? I’m assuming the app will not pick up the progress. Will I know if it is “slow charging”.

Hi @Clove6060 - normally the watch restarts when its on the charger, so yes you can see the charging state and any messages.
If you are using the SimpleClockPro clock face you get a permanent display of the charge level and expected time when fully charged, along with a log of all charging sessions.

@Guy_ Thanks guy. I’ll do the procedure next time I charge. I have the SimpleClockPro as one of my 5 faces.
