Total lack of apps on the sense

Where are all the apps?! I've never come up short on so many searches in an app store before. Even the suggested searches come up empty!! Why suggest strava for the sense if it doesn't even exist in the store? EXTREMELY disappointed in the selection

Hello @Besco and welcome to the Help forums.  I understand you frustration with the lack of apps.  The Sense (and Versa 3) have a different operating system from previous devices.  I think we just need more time for the third party developers to update their apps.  The Strava app disappeared from the App Gallery very recently.  Not sure why that happened.

Not every independent app developer has customized their apps to run on the Versa and Sense. Do we blame Fitbit for this?

Do we tell these individual, not related to Fitbit, most don't even get paid, that they need to update their apps.

@Rich_Laue I think Fitbit absolutely are to blame. We can't forget that with the introduction of Fitbit OS 5.0, developers now have to develop two different versions of the app. One to target OS 5.x and then another for the 4.x devices. There seems to be very little incentive for developers to do this. Seeing as Fitbit only support two versions at once in the SDK, it would seem Fitbit OS 4.x apps and clock faces days are numbered. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

That makes sense. As a hobby programmer myself I guess I need to just grab the SDK and get cracking on some OS 5.0 apps! Be the change you want to see in the world and all that
