Transfer watch from one account to another not working as desired

Problem:

I bought a new Fitbit Sense which installed great, and my old Versa continued to work fine.

In order to get the data off the Versa I installed it on my second account. The data [about a weeks worth] was uploaded fine.

However the Versa then stopped showing Steps or Heart Rate etc. in my clock face once it was transferred, but the Today app was showing it fine.

Am I understanding it is due to the permissions not being transferred, as follows:

Install a clock face under account A and grant permissions to Activity and Heart Rate.

Transfer the whole watch to account B with its installed clock faces and the permissions are denied I presume, without any indication, hence the values are only zero.

Is the only solution to reinstall all the clock faces again under account B, although they are already on the watch? In which case I will lose all the clock data in my app which is not desirable.

So far the only solution to get the data off the watch is to transfer it to account B, then transfer it back to account A and then reconnect the Sense to account A, all rather tedious and time consuming.

Is there a simpler way?

Incidentally, transferring the Versa between accounts seems to have the phone app confused. While the Clock app on the watch knows which clocks are installed the phone app doesn't.

I have noticed before that there seems to be no sync between the clock app on the watch and what the phone app thinks is on the watch. Is this a bug?

An impending other problem if account A now owns 2 watches, with only one [the Sense] permanently connected:

What happens when the second Versa watch is charged and tries to upload its data over wifi, which I expect it will try and do? May be it won't and the data will get lost on the watch over time?

I wonder if anyone can answer these complicated questions.

I'm not following you @Guy_ during a sync of your Fitbit the data is taken from the tracker and put in your Fitbit account.

I'm not sure what and why it is being asked.

Thanks for the follow up.

Thats correct. However once the data was uploaded to the second account the watch face no longer displayed heart rate or steps.

So the data can be uploaded to the second account but with the original clock face active it can no longer retrieve the heart rate and steps data which was working fine [when it belonged to the primary account but was not being synced]. Is that clearer?
