Trying to decide if I wanna buy the Sense

Currently I have the Original Galaxy Watch from Samsung. Battery life is good - I get 4 days to a charge. But the health sensing part is lacking compared to the Sense. I could go to the Galaxy 3 for the ECG but it's so expensive and, worse, Samsung totally whiffed the battery life on that one - 2 days to a charge is a BIG step down from the original.

But then again - with this one i have the ability to take quick calls on the watch (Not something I use a lot but I do use it from time to time), I have Alexa (By way of a app - otherwise it's Bixby and I won't be unhappy to say goodbye to that) and, most importantly, it syncs without any problem.

Bottomline - I want to choose one of these options :

1. Change over this weekend

2. Wait until October for the first update

3. Stick with the Galaxy Watch

4. Go somewhere else

How do we take calls , I've tried in the sense and the versa 3. I want to keep the one that can answer calls and it seems both do not

At least one of the new watches (not sure if both) has the hardware capabilities ie mic and speakers. however like a lot of features with these 2 watches the functionality is due to activated in a later software update. its really annoying that fitbit has advertised a lot of these features but none available at launch

From what I understand, the Sense doesn't have an LTE option but it supposedly has the hardware to take tethered calls (Which actually would fit what i use the Galaxy watch for anyway). It just hasn't been enabled yet. I assume it will come in the October update.

One thing that bugs me to no end is Fitbit has this weird habit of pushing a new thing out with only about half the features enabled. I can grok the ECG - they had to wait for regulatory bodies to enable that. But the speaker to work with Alexa (And google)? Yeah, that's on them.

Fitbit releases something like the Sense, it has only about half of the features advertised enabled, reviewers report on that and so Fitbit sells less simply because they look like they are releasing half baked hardware. Then they get desperate and the cycle repeats.

Fitbit : Just wait the extra month and have these things enabled upon release and you;ll look better. Samsung and Apple both figured that out.

Ya it seems that way. That's Is what I want the Bluetooth tethered just to
grab the call quickly . I actually contacted Fitbit and the tech support
dude literally said he didn't have any idea why there was a speaker if it
had one lol

Truth is, every problem I have heard so far is down to the software. I ordered a Sense yesterday because of that - all of that can be fixed. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy 3 where it's biggest flaw (Short battery life) is baked into the hardware now...

I went ahead and chose the sense as well. Hopefully the features are
available soon

My guess is most of the features will hit in October along with the ECG. Like I said - everything (Except for the placement of the button on the side) are fixable in software. And while fitbit constantly releases stuff only half baked they are pretty conscientious in getting their software to work after awhile.

Fitbit is sort of like Microsoft - by the 3rd update they actually have a working product.
