Unable to connect to WiFi

I live in my university dorm and it has its own WiFi network. To use it I need a username and a password for the network which I both have. However the Fitbit app doesn't have the option to enter a username due to which I am unable to connect my sense to WiFi. Is there a workaround or solution as I need to update my watch and transfer data.

I've also attached some screenshots to showcase the issue.

@s-basil while it is not possible to enter directly from the app it is actually possible to bypass the captive portal using a Wifi repeater.

They are small cheap routers that essentially repeat the wifi signal making a different network where you can connect.

If you are into DIY you make it one with a Raspberry PI or you can buy a dedicated one. I'm very happy with a product by GL-inet such as the Mango

Also consider that using a device like the one linked you will separate your wifi from the rest of the network with increased security.

Sorry, but no. The Sense only accepts a network name and password. There is no option for a user name.

@Dopovo - that's a good solution!

@s-basil  make sure the WiFi is a 2.4 GHz not a 5ghz signal.

Also you don't actually need a WiFi signal for an update, it takes a while over Bluetooth.

Also be sure why you want to update the firmware before doing it, especially if your watch is working correctly already.
