Unable to log in account and sync sense

As of this morning I cannot access the fitbit app on my phone anymore. After opening the fitbit app, I was requested to log in again. However, providing correct email and password returned a wrong input.

This happened over night without having changed anything in the Sense, my phone, modem or wifi settings.  The same happened with a different phone. I was also unable to access my fitbit account from my laptop. The login page showed a server error.

 

I followed all the trouble shooting advices, re-installed the fitbit app and restarted the Sense. Nothing worked.

 

I then found out that by using only my service provider network or a VPN could I access my fitbit app on my phone and the fitbit webpage login on my laptop.

 

My premium account is active and not due for renewal until April.

 

I also tried setting up a new fitbit account with a different email etc. and again was only able to access with the network or VPN.

 

So, here's the bottom line: My two (2) home wifi will not allow me to open the fitbit app and doing a watch sync.

This is only feasible directly through my service provider network or if my wifi is connected to a VPN.

 

What is going on here? As I mentioned before, this happened out of the blue over night. Before going to bed everything worked fine. Waking up the next morning nothing worked.

Hi @klausadrift - I’m concerned that someone may have tampered with your login information. Please contact Support. They can help and check to make sure there were no unauthorized changes to your account.

@SunsetRunner Thanks. Life Chat from Support advised that the failed login issue should be resolved within the next 42 hours. Cross fingers.

 

The quick response from the Life Chat agent suggests that Fitbit is aware of the problem with their server.

Presently my home wifi IP address appears not to be recognised and I can only log in if I am also connected to a VPN server.
