I know most of us just got the notification - but they can't just take away functions like this. I have a disability and use the google assistant to notify others in my house (using broadcast) that I need help. I use it to get my dog to stop barking (again broadcast) and to turn my lights on and off (my house is all set up with google).
I know it seems like google bought fitbit to dismantle it, but we paid good money. Complain ... keep complaining until the stop rolling back functionality on the devices we paid good money for (and or off us amazing discounts on equivalent new devices with the required functions).
Fight back. inundate their help/support lines!

sorry - are you disgusted that I want to fight back or that they are cutting another feature/function?

Absolutely NOT.
I am disgusted with Google's decision. After spending money to buy their devices also because of certain options, they have decided that we no longer deserve to be their customers.

Agree! Its so dumb! I use all google products. My fitbit was integrated with my google home though assistant. So i could set timers, appts, add tasks, etc. On any of my devices and be able to vist or edit it on a different device. Its all because they want to force people to buy pixel watches instead! I'm so tired of tech not working together!!
