What do the numbers at calories mean?

When I look at my calorie stats in the app on my Phone, I see 3 numbers; 1.4k, 2.4k and 2.8k. When I reach 2.4k calories, I get a star. What do these 3 numbers mean? I did not set a goal to lose weight.

That's how many calories you have burned so far throughout the day.
