So I'm a first time user for fitbit but have come from extensive use of Samsung, Amazfit and xiaomi smartwatches and i must say that this has been the worst experience of all.
Since i just got it yesterday, i need your i opinion since you have longer time experience with fitbit. Do you believe that the issues i describe below will be fixed in time with patience or should i just return this, get a refund and stick with my anazfit which never had even one of those issues?
First time experience, as soon as i got it, all i could do is receive server unreachable errors, network errors, connection error, etc. Then i saw that this goes for years and users are happy when they can connect. At the end, it was an outage which got resolved but i read that those outages are the norm. I managed to set it up at night but then it fails to sync most of the times.
Metrics are empty and only pulse is available. At night, no data was gathered, i don't have ecg, spo2 (installed the tracking app), no breath data, nothing. I climb stairs at home but nothing shown and i see that i have walked half km 30 minutes after i woke up and drove my son to school.
I see contact customer support and this is just a community forum and in fact, even here, i can only open a post at a time and then exit and reenter to read another.
Definitely this was not an upgrade for that price but a downgrade. I would be ok if i paid 50eu for this but i paid 350 so, I'm not.
So what do you belive from your experience with fitbit. Is it worth a chance for patience and they will get better or should i send it back today and get my money back?

Yesterday Fitbit announced that they had a major problem with their server and your tracker will not be able to sync.
My thought @SunsetRunner is that when the server issue got fixed, the tracker will sync.

Sync is not the only issue i noticed. I have no correct data, sleep not detected, no sensor data gathered, no ECG anywhere (maybe it's locked for the US only, i don't know), no SpO2 even with the addon app. I only get steps and heart rate.

@SunsetRunner Fitbit lacks transparency when it comes to roadmaps, bug fixes, etc. You never know if or when the issue will be solved. You never know if it is an issue in the eyes of Fitbit because the company doesn't communicate. It happens that something gets solved relatively quickly. For example, I was surprised when Charge 4 received a connected GPS feature really quickly after the release. Such things happen rarely in the world of Fitbit ad promised features may not be delivered for years (like the SpO2 feature, my Ionic didn't even last that long). Lack of communication keeps users in limbo. For me, if things don't work as advertised and the device (any, not just Fitbit) doesn't meet expectations then I return it. I bought Sense, didn't meet my expectations, I asked my wife whether she wanted to try it, she didn't so I returned it by the end of the Amazon return window. Mind that if you miss the return window you will stay with the device you're unhappy with. It may get better but same it may not. My experience with Fitbit tells me that the sooner there will be released next watch rather than Fitbit will fix the current issues for the old model. It is your money, your decision 🙂 As the consumer, I want things that work out of the box but not everyone shares this view and some people pay and are willing to wait for better times. Nothing bad about that, either.

I am sifting through all of the forums to see if the issues I have had over the year and a couple of months were specific to the charge line of products (I have a charge 3) or it it was a company wide problem. It appears as if it is company wide.
At first, I really liked the charge 3. After 2 months or so, the notorious screen going blank problem happened to me. They sent me a new pebble and that unit has had nothing but issues. They seem to be sync related. The sync problems have been happening since the middle of last year-so, yesterday’s outage isn’t just a one time fluke. As others have commented, they aren’t very forth coming about things.

Honestly I will have to disagree with you and I will explain the reason here with facts. What he mentioned (I already read his replies) is what I could not see in YT reviews or product reviews before I bought the Sense, when I was searching for (Best Smartwatches 21, top5) where all reviews where showing the bright side of Sense and none of those issues. For example no review told me that I will pay for ECG but I will not have ECG because my country was not in the chosen list. No review told me that the thermometer and SpO2 are not actual sensors and I will have those data, nor that I would only be able to connect on servers 60% of the times. Where else would I find that I bought a 350eu smartwatch just to give me motivation to get moving but I would have no data available to see. I am sorry but I abandoned my AF to have something better with more data and I have less so transparency would be the only way for consumers to know before buying and avoid all this thing that is happening here.

I’m also thinking now: whether to give Fitbit a second chance or choose another firm. Today I got permission to choose which manufacturer I want. Thanks to Fitbit at least for acknowledging the defect. Such a discussion is not negative, as it is a discussion that shows both the disadvantages of Fitbit and Fitbit Sense and everyone will have a free choice after reading here whether they want to stay with the Fitbit team or switch to another manufacturer. If I delete the messages, I will just return both Fitbit Sense at all and there are definitely companies that will gladly accept my money. As the saying goes, there are always two sides to a coin.
