Im going on holiday abroad for 10 days soon and do not really want to take my Fitbit with me. You know, to be completely device free. If I leave it at home, will it affect my cardio score because i am not using it? I have spent the last year working really hard and I know its irrelevant, but I would like to start back off holiday as it was. Thanks in advance!

I would honestly just wear your Sense while on vacation. I travel a lot too, and it really isn't much of a hassle, so I don't see why someone wouldn't take it.
I leave it with my things when I'm in the pool, so it never gets wet. As far as plugging it in, I just use the USB port available in my cabin at the end of the day. I never sync it while on vacation, and haven't had issues with syncing it upon return. If I'm changing time zones (which I rarely do), the crew (I cruise a lot) usually tells us to stay on ship time, which doesn't usually require me to change the time on my watch anyway.

@sirodar It's possible your score could change. Wearing your Fitbit to bed really helps determine cardio fitness score, in addition to age, sex, and weight. I think if you choose not to bring your Fitbit on your holiday, you should be prepared that the score may possibly be slightly worse.
You can also read this help article about the cardio fitness score.

@sirodar I had some breaks from using Fitbit so I kind of know what's going to happen 🙂 if you leave your watch most of the data (current, not historical before you left) will reset and you'll see that there are not enough readings to provide those metrics. So metrics such as cardio score and HRV will have to be re-measured. All health metrics will need to establish again your personal ranges.

That sounds frustrating. I think I may just keep it on on holiday - despite it being waterproof, I still don't believe it and am worried it will stuff it up going in a pool and the sea 😂...Plus ill be able to see how my tan is developing from the tan line under it!

@sirodar leaving it for a couple of hours (if you don't want to take it into the pool) will be absolutely fine. Leaving it for a week will result in what I mentioned above. Sense can go into the pool (although it's a lottery whether it survives it). I swam a lot with it and it still works (I stopped taking it into the water now but for a different reason).

@sirodar - if your watch is under warranty there is no harm wearing it in water but to be sure stop doing so a couple of months before the warranty runs out as any water damage may not be immediate.
There is another factor to consider when on holiday. If you have no internet connection you won't be able to sync the watch or set time in new zones and if you are away from power you won't be able to charge it either.

Sadly, my sense is long out of warranty. I bought it the day it first released. I should have wifi and will be able to charge it. I might take it, and just use it at night for sleep score.

@sirodar- your watch catches lots of useful information [beside telling the time] so I agree with @DramaQueenDiva it could be good to take it, but don't forget to pack the charge cable. Presumably your phone will have a power source you can use.

Charging wont be an issue for either Sense or Phone. Thanks for your answer. Much appreciated. I think I will take it.
