WhatsApp not working with sense

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Tried all the suggested fixes and still not managed to get WhatsApp and texts on to the watch. Very frustrating and now wishing I had purchased an Apple Watch 😞

Seems the Sense is a smart watch that isn’t very smart 😞😞😞

Hi @jokevan - are you using Fitbit App 3.65 or later? There was an issue with notifications in a prior release with notifications.

On app ver 3.65.1
Tried all the suggested fixes that I have been sent - still no joy.
Very very disappointed that I’ve just spent £189 on a fancy step counter because it certainly isn’t a smart watch!

@jokevan  - on the watch face, swipe to the right to get to Quick Settings and make sure neither sleep nor do not disturb are enabled.

In the Fitbit App, click profile photo, device photo, notifications, app notifications and select it.

If it's not in the list send a pending WhatsApp notification and check again and also check the setup of WhatsApp notifications in its settings to make sure they are displayed always.

Hi

Thanks. I have tried all of the above a number of times on my own and now currently on the phone with Fitbit Support. They have also talked me through all of the above and it still hasn’t worked. I’m on hold while they come up with another suggestion. Thank goodness it’s a free phone number! 🤦‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:

@jokevan- btw, did you follow all the steps for your iPhone in How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

yes I followed and then the Fitbit support team have spent nearly 2 hours on the phone talking me through exactly the same process. The text messages are now coming through but still no joy with WhatsApp. Unfortunately 95% of my communications come via WhatsApp so it’s not much better ☹️

@jokevan- it is surely a WhatsApp phone setting to enable to get the notifications to show. The Fitbit App will only transfer notifications that appear on the phone too.

Make a test with the Fitbit App open on your phone and watch freshly synced, and 1) see if the notification appears on the phone in the status bar, 2) if it gets sent to the watch. Seem to recall "show previews" or similar setting is required.

Thanks - I agree. But the WhatsApp settings on my iPhone are set to push notifications and always receive preview is selected also. This is exactly how the I and the Fitbit support team have reset it a number of times and it still doesn’t work. The more I investigate (now on a FB Fitbit user group) this is not an uncommon problem.
I should of researched more before purchasing the watch as it surly should not be this difficult.

Thanks for your suggestions though 👍
